As a family-owned bike rental business rooted on the island, we believe the best way to discover Naxos is at a slower pace, where every ride reveals hidden beaches, quiet villages, and moments worth remembering. We are committed to offering reliable bikes, honest local hospitality, and a welcoming experience that reflects our love for this island. Every ride we share is an invitation to explore Naxos like a local and create lasting memories together.
The year 2026 starts with the introduction of our brand new bicycle boutique. Veloterra, a place where craftsmanship meets the open road. A bike boutique rooted in quality, design, and the joy of movement, we offer carefully selected bikes and gear for riders who value how things feel, last, and perform. Wherever you ride, Veloterra is here to carry you farther.
The year 2022 was pivotal for Naxosbikes. First, our store had to relocated to a new space—one that better reflects who we are today and allows us to serve you even more comfortably. While the address has changed, our commitment to quality bikes, friendly service, and authentic cycling experiences on Naxos remains exactly the same.
At the same time, we’re proud to welcome Nikos, Yannis’ oldest son, who has officially joined the business and taken charge of our bike guided tours. Having grown up on Naxos and on two wheels, Nikos brings deep local knowledge, fresh energy, and a genuine passion for sharing the island’s hidden routes, landscapes, and stories. Under his guidance, our tours continue to evolve—offering riders a richer, more personal way to experience Naxos.
The year 2012 was the year of change as the way people experience Naxos has changed so have we, Ciao Moto became Naxosbikes and our focus has shifted fully to bicycles. This transition reflects a deeper belief in slower travel, closer connection to the landscape, and a more sustainable way to discover the island. Riding a bike allows you to experience Naxos differently: the changing light, the quiet villages, the coastline, and the hidden roads that often go unnoticed at higher speeds.
With years of experience, local knowledge, and a passion for cycling, Naxos Bikes now offers carefully maintained bicycles and guided rides designed to showcase the true character of the island. It’s the same family business, the same commitment to service—just a new way of moving forward.
In 1995, Yannis opened his first business on Naxos: a motorbike rental shop called Ciaomoto. At the time, motorbikes were the most practical and popular way for visitors to move around the island. Bicycles, as we know them today, were rarely seen—there were no dedicated routes, no touring culture, and little demand for cycling as a way to truly explore Naxos.
